Pride is from the Full Metal Alchemist game, Illusion of the Blue Bird/Blue Bird's Illusion/however else it can be translated.

...And Pride is actually Ed, so you get Ed's info too! =D

Hokai, so, Ed's past. His mummy died when he and Al - his little brother - were still young. Their father had up and left 'em some time before that, so, with no parental figures other than Winry's grandmother, the boys started studying Alchemy.

Once Ed had memorized what they needed to know, the attempted to transmute their mother from the ingredients that a body is made up of.

Human transmutation was forbidden for a reason, the boys discovered. It wasn't just because people were upset because they couldn't do it.

Instead of getting their mother back, the got a monster. Or a homunculus, but they're both the same thing.
Al lost his body, and Ed lost his leg. Before his brother could be completely swallowed up by the Gate, the Truth or whatever else they're calling it, Ed sacrificed his arm to tie his soul to a suit of armor.

Al turned up at Winry's house with Ed's unconcious body in his arms, and some time later, Ed was fitted with automail.

Ed didn't scream once while he was being fitted, whereas much older men had begged and screamed and cried.

It was later revealed that he didn't scream because he felt he wasn't allowed to, because of what he did to Al.

Never mind that Al went along with attempting to transmute their mother. Ed was the elder, so he was supposed to be the wiser. He was supposed to look after his little brother, not lose his body.

So Ed searched for a way to get Al's body back.

Skipping the FMA series, and going to the game.

Ed got Al's body, but there was a problem. Al's soul wasn't compatible with the body - they needed a human sacrifice to make it work.

So again, Ed was searching for a way to restore Al's body. Meanwhile, someone was going about killing people.

Being a State Alchemist, Ed was involved in the search for the killer. However, once things started looking like Al was the murderer, Ed was removed from the case.

Turned out that the blood, scissors and other things were just Al looking after a pregnant cat. And, later, kittens.

So Ed was nice and happy, and all; "HAHA MY BROTHER ISN'T A KILLER UP YOURS MUSTANG". Well, not really, but he was inside of his head. Yeah.

Then, later, the Fuhrer became a suspect. Ed hunted him down, Al and Mustang almost died, Ed fought Envy, Ed fought the Fuhrer, Ed almost died, Ed sacrificed his body to restore Al and Mustang and so that the Homunculus couldn't use his body.

However~ Human transmutation = Homunculus.

Ed = Muchos prideful.

Envy = Sick bastard. Though that doesn't really have much to do with it. Just thought I'd share~

So Ed became the new Pride. He knew what'd happen when he sacrificed himself, so he also sacrificed his memories so he wouldn't remember Al.

But, well, he also forgot how to read and write. He can draw, though! =D He follows Envy around like a puppy, doesn't do much of anything unless Envy's told him to, and weilds a kick-ass scythe.

He can supposedly transmute things, which is how he gets his bloody scythe - seriously, he couldn't carry that thing around 24/7 - has only the bare remnants of a personality, and has no eye pupils.

Have I mentioned he follows Envy around like a lost puppy? Well, just making sure.

He was fighting in his AU world with Envy, but when he got dumped in Avoria, he lost his weapons, his transmutational abilities went bye-bye, and he wound up a confused, lost puppy with a Journal and some money. But no Envy. =/
